Asia & Africa are 11-year-old Podenco-Andaluz bitches, around 35 cm tall, who were dumped in the Perrera by a hunter. Too old for hunting and therefore useless. Asia is still a good hunter and finds every gap in the fence to go on "patrol". Africa, on the other hand, is more sedate, but would follow Asia if the opportunity arose. The two of them had never walked on a leash, but they are now practicing this and are already going really well. When we took them in, the two girls were scared and had very sad looks on their faces. Now they are always in a good mood and are very happy when you give them attention. They almost seem grateful to have a better life now, even if they are "only" in the animal shelter with us. The light-colored Asia, like her friend Africa, arrived here in a bad condition. She is currently taking medication for ehrlichiosis. Her eyes are a little cloudy, but she can see normally. The dark brown Africa had inflamed molars that had already caused small holes in the direction of the eye. The teeth are now out and the hole to the eye was closed again by an eye specialist. Due to their age, both ladies have not been neutered.
Ideally, we are looking for a home where they can stay together, because they have never been separated in their entire lives. Please share the two older, frugal ladies, it would be soooo nice to find a warm, cozy place for the two of them again.
